Survey and Research Projects Related to Specially Managed Forest Products (Wild-Simulated Ginseng)
Through identification of suitable cultivation sites for wild-simulated ginseng, production-suitability surveys, establishment of standard specifications, and expert-course training in forest-product cultivation, we contribute to increasing foresters’ incomes.
Overview
Through survey and research projects related to specially managed forest products (wild-simulated ginseng), we identify suitable cultivation sites and contribute to increasing foresters’ incomes. We conduct production-suitability and growth-environment surveys of wild-simulated ginseng cultivation sites, and identify suitable cultivation sites and establish cultivation techniques for clean wild-simulated ginseng production.
As a Korea Forest Service R&D project, we conducted research to select wild-simulated ginseng varieties with strong mountain adaptability by major parent rock and elevation in Korea, and we conduct research on establishing standard specifications and differentiating functional efficacy for wild-simulated ginseng, as well as operating the Korea Forest Service’s forester training program (forest-product cultivation expert course).
