
Forest Healing Resource Survey for Forest Welfare Promotion
Through NVOCs sampling, measurement of anions, particulate matter, and oxygen concentration, GIS status surveys, and standard-plot tree surveys, we investigate the healing effects of forest resources.
Overview
To investigate the healing effects and characteristics of forest resources, we conduct forest healing-resource measurements and standard-plot tree surveys. We perform NVOCs (natural volatile organic compounds) sampling, weather measurement, anion concentration measurement, and particulate-matter and oxygen-concentration measurement in the field.
By combining status surveys using forest type maps, satellite images, and GIS with standard-plot tree surveys covering GPS coordinates, elevation, aspect, slope, age class, and crown density, we provide the baseline data needed for forest-welfare policy and the creation of healing forests. We conducted a nationwide forest healing-resource survey in 2020.
Process
- 1 Target-area status surveyWe analyze the status of the target area using forest type maps, satellite images, and GIS.
- 2 Standard-plot tree surveyWe survey GPS coordinates, elevation, aspect, slope, age class, and crown density.
- 3 Healing-factor measurementWe measure NVOCs sampling, anions, particulate matter, oxygen concentration, and weather.
- 4 Analysis & reportingWe analyze the measurement results and report on the characteristics of the healing resources.
