These Terms set out the basic matters concerning the use of the Korea Society of Forest Environment Research website (ksfer.or.kr). These Terms take effect on September 1, 2026.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms are intended to define the conditions and procedures for using the information and services provided on the website (ksfer.or.kr, hereinafter the “Site”) operated by the Korea Society of Forest Environment Research, an incorporated association (hereinafter the “Society”), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the Society.
Article 2 (Definition of Terms)
- “Site” means the website (ksfer.or.kr) operated by the Society to provide information and services to users.
- “User” means a person who accesses the Site and uses the information and services provided by the Site in accordance with these Terms.
- “Content” means all information posted on the Site, including documents, images, materials, and software.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)
- These Terms take effect upon being posted on the Site.
- The Society may amend these Terms within the scope not violating relevant laws, and any amended Terms shall be announced on the Site from seven days before the effective date, specifying the effective date and the reason for the amendment.
- If a user continues to use the Site after the amended Terms have been announced, the user shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Copyright of Content)
Copyright to the content posted on the Site is attributed as follows, and users must comply with the conditions of use set out below.

Article 5 (Prohibited Acts of Users)
Users shall not engage in any of the following acts in connection with the use of the Site.
- Submitting inquiries with false information or misappropriating the information of others
- Repeatedly submitting the inquiry form using automated programs or otherwise imposing a load on the server
- Collecting information from the Site without authorization (crawling or scraping) and using it for commercial purposes
- Any act that interferes with the operation of the Site or undermines its stability (hacking, distribution of malicious code, etc.)
- Defaming the Society or third parties or infringing rights such as intellectual property rights
- Any other act that violates relevant laws
Article 6 (Provision and Suspension of Services)
- The Site is, in principle, provided 24 hours a day, year-round.
- The Society may temporarily suspend the provision of services in the event of unavoidable circumstances such as system inspection, maintenance, or replacement, communication disruptions, or natural disasters, and any planned suspension shall be announced in advance.
- The Society may change, add to, or delete all or part of the content without prior notice in order to improve services.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
- The Society shall be exempt from liability where it is unable to provide services due to force majeure such as natural disasters or communication failures.
- Information posted on the Site is for the user’s reference. While the Society strives to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the information, it does not legally guarantee such qualities. Matters requiring legal effect, such as business or analysis requests, shall be governed by a separate contract or official document.
- The Society bears no responsibility for the content of external websites (affiliated institutions, etc.) linked from the Site.
- The Society bears no responsibility for any damage arising from a user’s violation of these Terms.
Article 8 (Resolution of Disputes and Competent Court)
- Any dispute arising between the Society and a user shall, in principle, be resolved amicably through mutual consultation.
- Any lawsuit concerning a dispute that is not resolved through consultation shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act (the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Society’s principal office).
- Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws and commercial practices.

These Terms take effect on September 1, 2026.
