Soil Survey & Diagnosis of National and Private Nurseries and Planting Sites

We identify the causes of poor growth at nurseries and planting sites and, through scientific fertilization prescriptions and cause diagnosis for community trees, establish a sound production foundation.

Overview

For nurseries and community planting sites, we conduct site-environment and soil surveys to identify the causes of poor growth and to establish a sound production foundation. By providing scientific fertilization prescriptions and baseline data for nursery-soil management, we support the production of sound, superior seedlings.

For community planting sites, we diagnose the causes of poor tree growth through soil surveys and propose measures to improve the planting environment. Since 2006 we have continuously conducted precise soil surveys of national and private nurseries, and our work is expanding to local issues such as Hoeamsa Temple Site, Cheongdo Sinhwarang Pungnyu Village, Inje birch forest, Damyang, and Uljin.

Process

  1. Site-environment surveyWe survey the site environment of the target area, including topography, drainage, and climate.
  2. Soil survey & samplingWe perform profile surveys and collect samples for analysis.
  3. Physicochemical analysisWe quantitatively analyze physical and chemical properties in our in-house laboratory.
  4. Cause identification & fertilization prescriptionWe diagnose the causes of poor growth and propose tailored fertilization prescriptions.
  5. Management proposalsWe report on improvements to the soil and planting environment and follow-up management measures.
