We support ultra-rapid response to forest pests through UAV monitoring surveys of pine wilt disease, AI image analysis, and spatial-information database building.
Overview
Centered on the monitoring and analysis of pine wilt disease, we perform drone photography of dead trees, production and interpretation of orthophotos for suspected areas, and building of spatial-information databases for ultra-rapid response in damaged areas.
Since 2018 we have continuously conducted UAV monitoring surveys of pine wilt disease, and we are expanding into AI-based image analysis (AI analysis for the 2025 UAV monitoring survey), building of AI-based forest pest control support systems, and analysis of outbreak status by region and production of thematic maps.
Process
- 1 Monitoring planningWe analyze damage history and outbreak status to design the monitoring target areas.
- 2 UAV photographyWe photograph the target area with drones and UAVs.
- 3 Orthophoto production & interpretationWe produce orthophotos and interpret dead trees (with AI analysis).
- 4 Spatial-information database buildingWe build the interpretation results into a spatial-information database to link with control efforts.
- 5 Result analysis & thematic map productionWe analyze outbreak status by region and produce thematic maps.
